Many questions concerning individuals and society extend beyond a single discipline. ALISANE starts from the question, brings fields of knowledge into dialogue, develops and tests ideas, and — when appropriate — moves what matures toward application and impact.

The ALISANE approach
Seven movements from question to impact
ALISANE takes its name from the approach that structures the project: seven connected movements for exploring questions, deepening them, linking knowledge, developing and testing emerging ideas, and — when appropriate — moving them toward application and impact.

An initiative open to interdisciplinary collaboration
ALISANE develops at the intersection of research, exploration, publishing, transmission and practice. Its work grows through questions that call for dialogue across disciplines rather than predetermined answers.
Researchers, translators, institutions and partners are welcome to contribute to research, review, publication, translation and the development of shared knowledge projects.
